Next, Ike steps in to sing a song about a man who is tempted by an evil woman (Lucretia Mac Evil). Something new and tumultuous has come into the equation, and it's not good. It seems as though Ike is perhaps an onlooker to the impending disaster.
Ike's warnings notwithstanding, the flirtation turns into an affair as Lori sings Slow Hot Wind. Inevitably, the wife finds out and there is heartbreak as Lori sings Guess Who I Saw Today...
...but the couple finds redemption through spiritual salvation in Ike's rousing rendition of Magnificent Sanctuary Band.
There's a reawakening of the couple's love for each other and a reaffirmation of their bond as Lori sings The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face...
...and the couple returns to a brief period of happy, tranquil days together as Lori sings Lazy Day.
But, the damage is done and the couple makes their farewells. Ike sings Trilogy, and the synthesizer solo wraps up the album with an energetic ending that suggests that life goes on no matter what.
