Lori Lee (Uhlig) 1940 - 2001 was born in Philadelphia, the baby sister to four brothers. At 18, she moved to New York, where she sang and danced as a chorus girl. She performed in the Broadway show Saratoga" and at the Copacabana nightclub. Shortly thereafter, she became a solo singer with several show groups in New Jersey. Louis Prima called her to fill in as his female lead when Keely Smith left the group and Gia was in training to take her place. Lori caught a plane to Vegas and covered the gig, performing Keely's part to a tee. In 1962, Lori and her daughter Lisa moved to Florida. In 1968, Lori and Ike were playing in a group together, and he introduced her to Kurt. They decided to form "Trilogy" and Kurt and Lori were married soon after. The rest is history. |
